LIVROS: WILL - GOING TO

WILL



WILL is a modal verb that expresses that something is inevitable, from the speaker's perspective.
(WILL é um verbo modal expressar que esse algo é inevitável, do ponto de vista do falante.)


Negative form - WILL NOT or WON'T


Pay attention - in spoken discourse, when used with pronouns, WILL is usually used in its contracted form I'LL, THEY'LL, WE'LL.

This is used when the speaker makes a statement about the future based on current evidence, or a logical sequence of events:
It’s going to be the most important project in the Amazon Rain Forest.
Isso é usado quando o orador faz uma declaração sobre o futuro com base em evidências atuais, ou uma seqüência lógica de eventos:

Vai ser o projeto mais importante na Floresta Amazônica.

GOING TO
You use going to + infinitive:


- to talk about future intentions or plans.
(Para falar sobre intenções ou planos futuros)
I'm going to see my friends more often.
I'm not going to take work home.
- to talk about something which we can see now is sure to happen in the future.
(Falar sobre algo que podemos ver agora é certo acontecer no futuro.)
I'm going to have a baby
