1-      Bite
2-      Pedaço (porção).
3-      A bit – um pouco.

4-      Bit by bit – pouco a pouco.
5-      A bit pode ser uma locução adverbial.
6-      He’s a bit shy – Ele é um pouco TIMIDO.

8-      Quando usado antes de um substantive, deve-se acrescentar of (a bit of paper).

6-      Entretanto,  pode-se utilizar a lot (of) ou lots (of), quando quisermos enfatizar o que está sendo dito:
