AULA EM INGLÊS:

https://www.engvid.com/english-grammar-how-to-use-to-before-an-ing-verb/

look forward to meeting.
(Estou ansioso para reunião.)

Quando temos dois verbos em um oração, os verbos podem estar de três formas:

1- Entre os dois verbos temos uma preposição e o segundo verbo terminado em ing. Alguns verbos pedem essa preposição. Você precisa decorar a lista de verbos seguidos de preposição e qual a preposição.
ex: I look forward to meeting.
(Estou ansioso para reunião.)

2 - O segundo verbo terminado em ing. Você precisa decorar quais são esses verbos que pedem que o segundo seja terminado em ing.
ex: I enjoy eating.
Quando usamos o verbo enjoy, o verbo seguinte, se for usado, tem que terminar em ing.

3- Os dois verbos separado com to.
I want to go to the park

Any time you have a preposition between the first verb and the second,
you're going to use "ing".
(Toda vez que você tiver uma preposição entre o primeiro verbo e o segundo,
Você vai usar "ing".)

A preposition is a word like: for, to, about, toward, up, down, in, out,
all of these words that kind of tell us where something is localted, these are called "prepositions". So, whenever you see a preposition after verb, this next verb is going to end in "ing".

(Uma preposição é uma palavra como: para, para, sobre, para, para cima, para baixo, para dentro, para fora,Todas essas palavras que tipo de nos dizer onde algo é localted, estes são chamados de "preposições". Assim, sempre que você ver uma preposição após o verbo, este próximo verbo vai terminar em "ing".)

So our example here: "I thank you for helping me"
Assim nosso exemplo aqui: "Agradeço por me ajudar"

You will get used to winter.
Você vai se acostumar com o inverno.

You will get used to living here.
Você vai se acostumar a viver aqui.

confessed to stealing.
Eu confessei roubar.

I opposed to living in Antartica.
