Participal Adjectives


The proble confuses the students.
It is a confusing problem.

The students are confused by the problem.
They are confused students.
*O past particle serve como um adjetivo, com um significado passivo.

C) O jogo excita as pessoas. É um jogo emocionante.
c)The game excites the people. It is an exciting game.
D) As pessoas estão animadas com o jogo. Eles são pessoas animadas.
d)The people are excited by the game. They are excited people.
E) A notícia surpreendeu o homem. Era uma notícia surpreendente.
e)The news surprised the man. It was surprising news.

Ela é conhecida por criar brinquedos de alta qualidade.

She is interested in how children play with one another.
Ela está satisfeita com a resposta a seus brinquedos.
She is pleased with the response to her toys.
Seus brinquedos são feitos de madeira.
Her toys are made of wood.
Os materiais em seus brinquedos são limitados à madeira.
The materials in her toys are limited to wood.
Ela está desapontada com muitos dos brinquedos populares na loja hoje.
She is disappointed in (ou with) many of the popular toys in store today.
Ela se preocupa com brinquedos que não incentivam as crianças a usarem sua imaginação.
She worries about toys that don’t encourage children to use their imagination.
