A palavra notice se refere a uma atitude de perceber de forma institiva, ou seja, através dos olhos, dos ouvidos, ou de qualquer outro sentido físico. Por exemplo, He spilled the tea, but Mrs. Whitley did not notice. Neste exemplos, a palavra notice pode ser substituída pelo verbo see, como He spilled the tea, but Mrs. Whitley did not see it. 1. You may notice a numb feeling in your fingers. [neste exemplo, o verbo notice pode ser substituído por feel]
2. He was too tired even to notice how tired and hungry he was. [neste exemplo, o verbo notice também pode ser substituído por feel]
3. Did you notice him leaving the party early? [aqui ele pode ser substituído por see]

Obs.: os verbos que podem substituir o verbo notice são feel, see, hear.

Já no caso do verbo realize, nós temos dois sentidos. O primeiro sentido do verbo realize se refere ao ato de entender a importância de alguma coisa. Por exemplo, Do you realize how late it is? Ou seja, do you realize how important it is to know how late it is? Veja mais alguns exemplos:

O segundo sentido do verbo realize se refere ao ato de passar a saber de algo que você não tinha notado antes. Por exemplo, você comete um erro, mas só depois de um tempo você percebe [realize] a existência desse erro. Veja alguns exemplos:
