Você tem uma família grande ou pequena?	Do you have a large or small family?
Eu venho de uma família grande. Agora, eu tenho minha mãe, um irmão mais velho e três irmãos mais novos. Meu pai faleceu há 17 anos. Sou a única filha da família.	I come from a large family. Now, I just have my mom, an older brother and three younger brothers. My father passed away 17 years ago. I am the only daughter in the family.
Quanto tempo você gasta com sua família?	How much time do you spend with your family?
Por enquanto, eu vivo em uma outra cidade, longe da minha família, então eu só gasto cerca de duas semanas por ano com elas.	For now, I live one in another city far from my family so I only spend about two weeks each year with them.
O que você gosta de fazer juntos como família?	What do you like to do together as a family?
Minha família gosta de cozinhar juntos e de tomar refeições especiais juntos. Nós nos alcançamos e falamos sobre nossas vidas. Olhamos para trás e compartilhamos memórias, especialmente quando ainda somos jovens. Nós também gostamos de música. Então, quando nos juntamos, tocamos vários instrumentos musicais e cantamos.	My family enjoys cooking together and having special meals together. We catch up and talk about our lives. We look back and share memories especially when we were still young. We enjoy music as well. So, when we get together, we play several musical instruments and sing along.
Você se dá bem com sua família?	Do you get along well with your family?
Certo. Estamos muito perto uns dos outros. Estou feliz por poder dizer-lhes qualquer coisa. Eles estão sempre lá para ouvir quando tenho problemas.	Sure. We are really close to each other. I am happy that I could tell them anything. They are always there to listen when I have problems.
A sua é uma família típica?	Is yours a typical family?
Bem, posso dizer que sim, nossa família é típica. Uma família, que permanece um com o outro através de bons momentos e maus momentos.	Well, I can say that, yes, our family is a typical one. A family, who stays by each other through good times and bad times.
Existem muitos tipos diferentes de família em seu país?	Are there many different types of family in your country?
Sim, tipos de família em termos de número e membros de uma família. Existem famílias pequenas com dois filhos para famílias numerosas com cerca de oito ou mais filhos. Também há famílias com famílias extensas.	Yes, types of family in terms of number and the members of a household. There are small families with one two children to large families with about eight or more children. There are also households with extended families.
Quem está mais perto de sua família?	Who are you closest to in your family?
Eu estou mais perto da minha mãe. Eu acho que é porque somos as únicas mulheres na família. Então, compartilhamos as mesmas idéias sobre muitas coisas.	I am closest to my mom. I think it is because we are the only women in the family. So, we share the same ideas about many things.

Moro em uma família nuclear, com meus pais e um irmão mais novo. Meu pai é engenheiro e mora em Aligarh enquanto minha mãe é uma criadora doméstica. Meu irmão está atualmente fazendo seu Bacharelado em tecnologia em Comunicação Eletrônica de Dwarahat.	I live in a nuclear family, with my parents and a younger brother. My father is an engineer and lives in Aligarh whereas my mother is a home maker. My brother is currently doing his Bachelors in technology in Electronic Communication from Dwarahat.
Quanto tempo você gasta com sua família?	How much time do you spend with your family?
Eu realmente adoro passar o tempo com minha família, no entanto, meu trabalho atual, que é um anfitrião para um show com viajante de raposa, exige que eu viaje muito, então não posso passar tanto tempo com eles. No entanto, sempre que faço o tempo eu ligo para onde quer que eu esteja ou vá encontrá-los em casa.	I really love spending time with my family, however, my present job, which is a host for a show with fox traveler, requires me to travel a lot, so I am not able spend that much time with them. However, whenever I do get time I either call them to wherever I am or go to meet them at home.

Para minha família, eu me asseguro de que eu passei pelo menos 2 dias por mês com meus pais e meu irmão. Então, na maioria das vezes, todos fazemos planos para garantir que passemos esses dois dias juntos, não importa onde estivéssemos. Além disso, eu dou 5% do que meus ganhos são para minha família.	Towards my family, I make sure that I spend at least 2 days a month with my parents and my brother. So, most of the time we all make plans to make sure that we do spend those two days together, no matter where we are. Other than this, I give 5% of whatever my earnings are to my family.
Que tipo de tarefa você faz para ajudar os membros da sua família?	What type of task do you do to assist your family members?
Bem, na maioria das vezes eu estou fazendo o trabalho que me obriga a sair da casa, como pagar contas, comprar uma mercearia ou ir ao banco.	Well, most of the time I am doing the work that requires me to move out of house, like paying bills, buying grocery or going to bank.
A quem você mais gosta em sua família? Por quê?	Whom do you like most in your family? Why?
Eu amo muito os meus pais. Para mim, nada vem antes deles, então eles são a primeira prioridade. Na medida em que isto é porque, eu acredito que quem sou eu agora é por causa deles. Eles me apoiaram na fase mais difícil da minha vida e aproveitaram cada momento do meu sucesso comigo. Eles me deram tanto que nem me encontro capaz de dizer que vou devolver o seu amor. Então, com certeza, eles são os que mais amo.	I love both my parents a lot. For me, nothing comes before them, so they are the first priority. To an extent this is because, I believe that who I am now is because of them. They have supported me through the toughest phase of my life and have enjoyed every moment of my success with me. They have given me so much that I don’t even find myself capable enough to say that I will return your love. So, for sure they are the ones that I love the most.
Me fale sobre sua família.	Tell me about your family.
Embora eu viva no exterior agora, a família do meu pai é de Glasgow e a família da minha mãe é de Edinburg. Então eu sou de uma família muito escocesa. Eu diria que eu venho de uma família bastante pequena, apenas meus pais, minhas duas irmãs e eu. Mas ambos os meus pais são de famílias muito grandes, então minha família extensa é muito grande - eu tenho 20 primos! Nossos encontros familiares são bastante caóticos, mas divertidos. Somos uma família muito unida e tem reuniões pelo menos duas vezes por ano. Mesmo que não vivamos juntos, os laços familiares ainda são muito fortes.	Although I live abroad now, my dad's family is from Glasgow and my mum's family is from Edinburg. So I'm from a very Scottish family. I would say I come from quite a small family, just my parents, my two sisters and me. But both of my parents come from very large families so my extended family is very large - I have 20 cousins! Our family gatherings are pretty chaotic, but fun. We're a very close-knit family and have reunions at least twice a year. Even though we don't live together any more, the family ties are still very strong.

A pessoa que eu estou mais próxima na minha família é o meu pai, Gavin. Ele é realmente sociável, sempre saindo com amigos e colegas. Todos pensam que ele é uma boa diversão. Eu olho para ele porque ele está muito entusiasmado com tudo o que ele faz.	The person I'm closest to in my family is my dad, Gavin. He's really sociable, always going out with friends and colleagues. Everyone thinks he's good fun. I look up to him because he's very enthusiastic about everything he does.
Quem você é mais parecido com sua família?	Who are you most similar to in your family?
Bem, há uma forte semelhança familiar entre meu irmão mais velho e eu, mas todos me dizem que a semelhança física entre mim e meu avô paterno é muito clara. Infelizmente, nunca mais o conheci porque faleceu antes de nascer. Mas eu vi fotos dele na minha idade e somos bastante parecidos.	Well, there is a strong family resemblance between my elder brother and me, but everyone tells me that the physical resemblance between me and my paternal grandfather is very clear. Sadly, I never got to meet him because he passed away before I was born. But I’ve seen photographs of him at my age and we’re quite alike.
De que maneira sua família é importante para você?	In what way is your family important to you?
A palavra mais importante na minha vida é "família". Eu amo minha família. Eu sei que minha família sempre estará lá para mim, não importa o que. Cada família tem seus altos e baixos, mas ainda estamos lá um para o outro. Nós nos apoiamos quando não há mais ninguém.	The most important word in my life is "family". I love my family. I know that my family will always be there for me, no matter what. Every family has their ups and downs, but we are still there for each other. We support one another when there is nobody else.
