EXPRESSING PREFERENCE: WOULD RATHER
WOULD RATHER expressa preferência. Em (a): Observe que a forma simples de um verbo segue ambos preferem e não. (a) Eu prefiro ir a amovie esta noite do que estudar gramática. Em (b): se o verbo for o mesmo, geralmente não é repetido depois do que. (b) Prefiro estudar história do que (estudar) biologia.	WOULD RATHER expresses preference. In (a): Notice that the simple form of a verb follows both would rather and than. (a)I would rather go to amovie tonight than study grammar. In (b): If the verb is the same, it usually is not repeated after than. (b)I’d rather study history than (study) biology.
